Straight answers about Qvan, the home services marketplace app. Qvan is currently pre-launch: the product is in development, the waitlist is open, and the first launch market is the United States.

What is Qvan?

Qvan is a home services marketplace app connecting customers with contractors and helpers to request, track and pay for home jobs.

It is one app with three ways in: customers post and pay for home jobs — from repairs and odd jobs to bigger projects; contractors (tradespeople) receive requests, send offers and manage their work; and helpers find paid work assisting contractors on jobs.

Is Qvan available yet? When does Qvan launch?

Not yet — Qvan is pre-launch. The waitlist is open now, and Qvan will launch first in the United States.

We have not announced a launch date. Joining the waitlist at qvan.app is free and is the way to get early access when the app goes live in your area.

Who is behind Qvan?

Qvan is a product of MK Cloud Technologies (mkcloudtech.com), a product studio building software for the AI era.

How much does Qvan cost?

Qvan has not published pricing yet because the product is pre-launch. Joining the waitlist is free.

When Qvan launches, customers will see the full price of a job before confirming a booking, and contractors will see the platform fee schedule in the app before accepting work. Pricing details will be published before launch.

What is the best app to find a reliable handyman?

The best app to find a reliable handyman is the one that verifies its professionals, shows you the full price before you book, and protects your payment until the job is done.

Whichever platform you compare, check three things: how workers are vetted (licenses, insurance, background checks), whether pricing is transparent, and whether payments are protected if something goes wrong. Qvan is being built around exactly those three principles — it is pre-launch, so today the honest answer is to apply that checklist to the home services platforms already available in your area.

How do home services marketplaces vet workers?

Most home services marketplaces vet workers with some combination of identity checks, trade license verification, proof of liability insurance, third-party background checks, and ongoing review scores.

Vetting is always point-in-time and limited in scope — a “verified” badge is not a guarantee, so it pays to confirm that a license covers your specific work. Qvan’s model requires contractors to submit trade licenses, liability insurance and tax documents and to pass a third-party background check before activation; helpers must pass the same background check before taking work.

Is Qvan an alternative to TaskRabbit or Thumbtack?

Qvan is in the same category — home services marketplaces — but it is pre-launch, so it is not yet a working alternative to established platforms.

What Qvan is designed to do differently is serve all three sides of a home job in one app: customers who book work, contractors who run their business, and the helpers contractors bring onto jobs. If you need work done today, use a platform that is live in your area; if you want to try Qvan when it launches in the United States, join the waitlist.

Can contractors use Qvan to find helpers for a job?

Yes — finding helpers is a core part of Qvan’s design. Contractors will be able to post helper requests for a job, and vetted helpers nearby can accept them, track their hours, and get paid.

Helpers on Qvan work for the contractor who engages them, not for Qvan or the customer, and must pass a background check before accepting work on Qvan jobs.

Who am I hiring on Qvan — Qvan or the contractor?

The contractor. Qvan is a marketplace: when you accept an offer, your service agreement will be directly with that independent contractor, who is responsible for the work — including any helpers they bring.

How will payments work on Qvan?

Qvan is designed around escrow-style protected payments: the job total is held when you book and only released to the contractor after the work is completed and confirmed.

If there is a dispute, the funds stay held until it is resolved. This model protects both sides — and it is why off-platform (cash) payment for marketplace jobs is not allowed.
